Facebook GOES TO HISTORY in 7 days – says Mark Zuckerberg

In exactly seven days, the most powerful social network in the world, Facebook, will cease to exist, confirmed the founder and majority owner of that American company, Mark Zuckerberg. Namely, he announced that on October 28 this year, when the conference of the company Connect is scheduled, he will announce the new name of Facebook, as well as many other changes in the giant. As he pointed out, this is the company’s intention to focus on the so-called “metavers” in the future, a set of new ideas for the application of virtual and augmented reality, which Zuckerberg considers to be an evolution of the Internet.

The exact details of the company name change are still kept strictly secret, and its spokesmen declined to comment. The Verge portal, which first published the news of the changes on Facebook, speculates that it may happen that the company itself changes its name, but the name for the social network itself remains the same, primarily due to the brand recognition. In that case, Zuckerberg actually has intention to make his company no longer recognizable only on the social network, because it is much more than that. Unnamed sources from the company told The Verge that Zuckerberg will continue to keep all the platforms he has had so far.

The company Facebook has more than 10,000 employees, and many of them are already widely using virtual reality glasses, which, as Zuckerberg believes, will become part of everyday life, as well as smartphones. That is why he is determined to dedicate himself to it in the coming period much more than before.

Recall, the announcement of changes that no one hoped given the dizzying rise, and then the continued success of Facebook business, came after the platform of that social network fell for several hours in early October for reasons still unexplained, causing millions users they did not have the opportunity to access worldwide. Facebook took its Instagram and WhatsApp affiliates with it.

As a result of that decline, Zuckerberg lost more than six billion dollars.
